They'll Always Stand

A still sea
breathing in unison
waits under the cover
of camouflage,
army regulation...
boots too
in unified pairs
stand firmly planted
on asphalt and fields.
Come rain, come shine
they stand -
come bullet, come shell
they stand -
come death, come injury
they'll always stand.

1) I could be wrong, but this "style" is different than your usual way of writing. Not that you have a "usual" way. (I should stop while I'm ahead, I know.)

2)And, I really love this piece.

"A still sea" AND the tension in this builds up beautifully:

Come rain, come shine
they stand -
come bullet, come shell
they stand -
come death, come injury
they'll always stand.

Nicely written.
